Tikoy production is one of the food processing business exist and proven feasible in Lucena City, Catanauan and Macalelon Quezon.  The fact product is cheap and delicious food for the travelers, attractive pasalubong and good for party snacks, this industry survived and still profitable.

Tikoy production involves utilization of farm products.  The propose site which is in Catanauan, Quezon lies in the central part of Bondoc Peninsula, the agricultural arera in Quezon.  The availability of most of the raw materials has a great advantage for this project.

Bondoc Peninsula is blessed by fertile soil and favorable climatic condition.  However, even the hard working farmers cannot produce large quantity of farm product for fear of spoilage when cannot be absorbed in the market at reasonable price.  Processing farm products into secondary product such as tikoy can minimize spoilage and increase on utilization of farm products.
